Every day is a new day. Or so the calendar says. But our nose also tells us that no two days are ever really alike, because every day smells different. The overall olfactory impression depends on the season (Christmas!), the weather, the temperature, the humidity and, of course, the air quality itself (sea breeze, mountain air, forest scent, city smell, indoor climate). Exactly what we smell comes down to the concentration of scent particles in the air we breathe. That we can perceive these particles at all is thanks to around 10 million olfactory cells per nose - one study counted them. These sensors are extremely sensitive and pass the olfactory impulse from the chemosensory cilia (odour-sensitive nerve endings) straight to the brain as an electrical signal. There, according to a recent study, we can apparently tell a trillion scents apart.
Smelling with heart and nose.
But it isn’t only every day (and every time of day) that smells different. So does every place. Stroll through the woods and you smell wood, resin and damp earth. Sit in the office and perhaps you just smell your sporty colleague from next door. And if you’d rather sniff fresh forest air at the office too, you’ll have to dip into the technological bag of tricks. The magic word is Airdesign, and the patented solution comes from Aromea - as arguably the finest scent mist in the world. The patented technology behind it goes by the name of AirQ. A quick explanation: AirQ technology is the computer-controlled nano diffusion system from Aromea. Whether it’s a compact Nano Cube or a hidden ventilation module - AirQ technology is the heart of the Aromea nano diffusers (products: Cube, Flex, Pro, Power). And it makes the indoor climate a personal matter of the heart too, because scent decides how comfortable you feel. A study found that out as well. Which makes sense, really.
The thing about scent.
How does scent actually get into the air in the first place? Outdoors, things are a little different: wind, rain and air pressure decide how far (and where) you can smell, say, a meadow in bloom. All flowering plants naturally need their scent to carry as far as possible, so that bees and other insects can help with pollination. To do this, they release microscopic scent particles, so fine that they stay afloat in the air instead of sinking. AirQ works in much the same way - only indoors. It diffuses your personal favourite fragrance so finely (and so whisper-quietly) that it learns to fly. Sounds wow? It is (more on that in a moment). AirQ technology then makes sure that the scent experience spreads absolutely evenly through the whole volume of the room.
An olfactory serving suggestion from the bag of tricks: fragrance oil 9131 “Casino Fresh” - modern and elegant. Or fragrance oil 1058 “Woodlands” - sporty to woody. Or perhaps you’d prefer warm and mysterious, with fragrance oil 5041 “Cosmopolitan”. For an atmospheric Christmas feeling without the annoying carpet of pine needles: fragrance oil 1047 “Christmas Tree”. The scent experience can also be adjusted across 50 intensity levels and tailored over time (scenting frequency). Which puts Aromea a good nose ahead of even the freshest spring meadow.
Scent space deluxe.
Where conventional air fresheners sneeze damp little clouds into the room (which drizzle down as an intense shower of scent), Aromea diffuses so incredibly finely that a “dry mist” is created. Scent in new dimensions, because the scent particles measure just one tiny micron across. For non-physicists, that’s a thousandth of a millimetre (about 50 times finer than a human hair). So for every conventional aerosol droplet, there are an incredible 125,000 AirQ droplets. The result: 2,500 times more surface area for the scent in the air. This ephemeral experience doesn’t cling to clothes or hair, doesn’t leave an annoying film on windows and surfaces, and can even be discreetly integrated into conventional HVAC systems (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). What you get is an evenly great scent experience, pleasantly at the threshold of perception. Great in the truest sense of the word, because a single Aromea Power diffuser easily handles 4,200 cubic metres of room volume (at a ceiling height of two metres, that’s about half a football pitch). The verdict: scent space deluxe!
A matter of the heart.
Where it smells good, you feel good. But the right scent can also help you concentrate better, relax or simply stir up a few emotions. Just think of all those seductive Christmas smells! Gingerbread and baked apple, incense and fir tree, and suddenly you’re back in the winters of long ago. Your heart skips a beat and you can’t help smiling a little. That’s exactly what Airdesign by Aromea is about, quite apart from the technological peak performance of AirQ: emotion, memory, uniqueness. On request, even with your very own Corporate Scent, made to measure. Authentic, honest and real - a matter of the heart, in other words.
