You’re a press officer planning a conference, but you can’t find a suitable room? You’re a bride, soon to marry the love of your life. But where? Or: it’s your mum’s birthday! But you don’t know where to hold the surprise party? Many scenes, one answer: the Palais Wertheim. A first-class location in the heart of Vienna. Three halls. 1,200 square metres. Rooms 6 m high. Space for any event. For any event with that certain something! Unique design elements? Check. Brutalist ceiling structures? Check. Scent marketing? Also check! In short: the Palais Wertheim has everything the heart desires. And the nose. Above all the nose! Because Airdesign, aka scent marketing, is conquering the events industry, and this Viennese venue is right up there at the front! Perfect staging: optimally neutralising unwanted smells with Malodor Control Technology and replacing them with gentle scents. Simply sneaking into guests’ subconscious. Sharpening memories of the event. Boosting recognition. What does that look like? Marketing & sales team member Nina Horehled knows…
Question: You promise the basis for a top-class event in the heart of Vienna. What makes your venue so special? Does AROMEA perhaps play a part in that too?
Horehled: The Palais Wertheim is so much more than just a unique event venue! It simply offers the complete package. On the one hand there’s the charm of days gone by, and on the other the rooms impress with futuristic design components. And of course, we also have modern technology with professional sound and lighting systems. And to make the whole thing as easy as possible for our customers, we naturally also provide all the furniture and equipment you need for an event. The icing on the cake, of course, is AROMEA scent marketing. Expert advice helped us find the perfect fragrance to suit our ambience. So it’s the perfect complement to the high-quality furnishings. AROMEA simply creates special added value that neither we nor our customers would want to be without.
Question: “Viennese chic meets Berlin chic.” How does AROMEA scent marketing fit into that?
Horehled: As we all know, opposites attract, and that’s the way it is at our venue too: Viennese chic meets Berlin chic. And: innovative scent marketing meets an unconventional palais. It just fits.

Question: You have one AROMEA Power and one Nano Pro in use. Our two strongest diffusers with AirQ technology. Why did you choose these two, and where are they used?
Horehled: With the AROMEA Power, the name says it all. And naturally we wanted to make the most of that. So it gets to work its wonders in our main hall, the Wertheim-Saal. Thanks to its power, all of the 500 square metres really are wrapped in a pleasant scent, and thanks to AirQ technology, residue-free and hypoallergenic. Impressive. The Nano Pro gets to enchant guests in the entrance area. So they get a special feeling the moment they walk into the venue and are welcomed by a great scent. And as we all know, the first impression is the most important!
Question: More than 1,000 square metres, a room height of 6 m, three different halls. Your venue offers options for all kinds of ideas. And with them, a fragrant experience. Why did you decide on AROMEA scent marketing?
Horehled: The decision really was easy for us. We deliberately wanted to set ourselves apart from other venues and create a unique selling point. Or, to put it simply: we wanted to be unique. And with AROMEA we’ve managed it! At Christmas time in particular, it was important to us to give our many customers the right mood for their Christmas party. That’s why we scented the place with the Christmas fragrance “Christmas Delight” then. A dream!
Question: You advertise that there’s room for every creative idea. From weddings to balls to trade fairs, everything is possible. That calls for a fragrance that suits every occasion. Which one did you choose and why?
Horehled: As I mentioned, we delighted our customers with the Christmas fragrance in November and December. But for the standard fragrance… that really was a hard decision! They all smell so good… but in the end, “Wood Blonde” won us over. This fragrance simply suits our venue best! With birch, sandalwood and orris root. You feel at ease straight away.
Question: How have your customers or staff reacted to the gentle scent so far? Do you think the scent plays a part, unconsciously or perhaps even consciously, when a customer chooses a hall?
Horehled: Well, across the board we’ve had nothing but positive feedback! Both staff and customers react very positively to it. People also mentioned it to us quite often around Christmas time. And of course, scent marketing helps us, unconsciously and consciously, to make our venue stand out. It all feels very fresh and clean. In combination with what we offer, that can only make us stand out positively from the competition! So a big thank-you to AROMEA as well!Copyright: Header: Palais Wertheim; image in text: Philipp Lipiarski; image with quote: Romar Ferry;
