Today, the scents of our AROMEA nano diffusers carry us to Burgenland. To Eisenstadt, to be precise, the capital of Austria’s easternmost province. Surrounded by countless vineyards, this is where Count Esterhazy once whiled away the time at his baroque palace to the fine music of Joseph Haydn. And it’s in this very noble neighbourhood that you’ll find the Parkhotel Eisenstadt. Right in the centre of town, it’s an ideal hotel to set out from on day trips or excursions to the wine regions. As a small family-run business, its operators want guests from all over the world to feel comfortable from the very first moment. Modern yet cosy rooms, super-hospitable staff, a lavish breakfast buffet and an Italian restaurant make sure they succeed. And for the final polish on that “feeling at home” feeling, the Parkhotel Eisenstadt has brought AROMEA on board. Because thanks to its elegant, appealing fragrances, the hotel not only stands out immediately, it also stays in your nose, your brain and your heart. We spoke to Barbara Novak about the hotel and, of course, AROMEA Airdesign.
Your wonderful Parkhotel is right in the centre of Eisenstadt, very close to Esterhazy Palace. So it’s a dream location for exploring the capital of Burgenland. Your hotel also stands out for its Austrian tradition paired with modernity. What makes a stay at your hotel especially distinctive?
Novak: We’re a family-run 3* hotel and we’re wholehearted hosts. As the operators of the hotel, we are on site almost every day and, of course, always personally available to our guests. That includes a nice chat or a glass of Burgenland wine together.
You rely on regional products above all for your varied and balanced breakfast. What does that look like in practice?
Novak: We offer the full range of a continental breakfast buffet and are always trying to make use of everything regional suppliers have to offer.
How did you become aware of AROMEA’s scent marketing?
Novak: We were looking for effective scenting from the start and came across AROMEA in the course of some internet research.

You have 5 AROMEA Pro diffusers in use in your hotel. How did you find the installation of the diffusers, and how would you describe handling them?
Novak: Our account manager, Markus Legenstein, gave us wonderfully professional advice from the start and was there for the initial installation as well. We were properly trained, so handling the AROMEA Pro 5 from here on is no problem.
In the entrance area to your restaurant, guests are met by the scent of “Mediterranean Journey”. How would you describe its aromas?
Novak: It smells like a summer evening in an olive grove with Italian herbs.
In the seminar area, by contrast, you rely on the fresh scent of “Green Tea”. Do your seminar guests notice the pleasant scent? And if so, have they mentioned it to you?
Novak:
The fragrance “Green Tea” is fresh and calming at the same time. People very often mention our scenting in all areas. Those with a sensitive nose recognise that the air is scented and ask us about it directly, and they want to know more about it. Other guests comment on the pleasant indoor climate here, and that’s another reason they’re always happy to come back.
