“Very Peri” as Colour of the Year: Our Scent Interpretations

Scents are subject to trends too. And since we at AROMEA always follow the spirit of the times with scent marketing, we also keep an eye on what’s in vogue. We’ve already shown you the general annual trends for 2022. But today we’re turning to a name you should remember over the coming months: “Very Peri”.
It’s the trend colour of 2022, named by the Pantone Color Institute. What’s that? The Pantone Color Institute has been tracking global colour trends for 23 years. This year the institute came out with a creation of its own: “Very Peri”. Strong blue meets soft violet. A shade that’s sure to stay in the memory for a while yet. The colour stands for times of change, a zest for life, and inner strength and calm. Youthful rebellion against old systems meets mature, grown-up views of the world. And so we’ve given some thought to which scents and nuances go well with it. But first, here’s the colour to look at:

Very Peri radiates calm

Elegant, dreamy, powerful and calm: that’s how Very Peri is set to accompany us through life over the coming months. It immediately reminds us of the fragrant lavender fields of Provence. The calming, sweet scent notes of lavender have a positive effect on the mind. That’s why this little blossom is also an important ingredient in several AROMEA fragrances.

It starts with the lifestyle fragrance “A perfect day”, in which lavender, backed by some citrus notes, creates a fresh and relaxed atmosphere, a perfect match for Very Peri! Other scent highlights with fine lavender tones: “Casino Fresh” or “Lavender Fields”. “Relaxation Fields”, supported by a hint of chamomile, finally sets your inner Zen straight. And “Lavender & Bergamot” is a fragrance that simply exudes cleanliness and hygiene.

As summer approaches, we meet this powerful colour once again: the sweet, heavy scent of lilac hangs in the air and recalls the days of our youth, when we fell in love for the first time.

A violet wonder in scent marketing

What does the new colour trend do for me as a company? It shows you where things are heading in products, decor and interior design over the coming months. Of course you don’t have to redecorate your entire shop to stay true to the spirit of the times, but even a few dabs of violet add a fresh, modern touch. With scent marketing, you can create olfactory milestones that stay in the memory. Lavender notes, invigorating fresh citrus nuances and fruity scents are definitely very much in fashion. Lavender, for example, is ideal for spa and wellness areas, but also makes for relaxed shopping moments in retail. Whichever fragrance our customers choose: we make sure our diffusers distribute it indoors as quickly as possible.
