Stroll through the little lanes of Hall in Tirol and you’re transported to another time. Colourful medieval houses, decorated with oriel windows and carvings, line the narrow streets of the largest old town in western Austria. There’s a touch of Harry Potter and fantasy about it all. But inside the old houses, modern life is flourishing. Boutiques, shops and service providers have made their home here. The Très Chic Studio, a name that has stood for exquisite beauty care in the picturesque old town of Hall in Tirol since last year, opens its doors to a world where tradition and innovation meet. Stefanie Maderbök, its dedicated owner, is carrying on the family business founded by her mother with a modern twist. Especially worth highlighting is the use of AROMEA Airdesign to scent the salon, which gives every visit an extra sensory dimension. In conversation with the owner, we learn more about the salon, wellness for the skin and the partnership with AROMEA.
Your salon has a long tradition in Wattens. What can customers expect now at the new branch in Hall?
Maderbök: That’s right, many people know our salon, which my mother founded 40 years ago, as Salon Silvia. After my maternity leave, we decided to open a branch in Hall too. In Hall, our customers can expect a salon that combines tradition with modern chic. We’ve designed the studio to stand out both for the quality of its treatments and for its atmosphere. Our approach to customer care is very personal, and we offer everything from make-up consultations to advanced skincare techniques to make sure every visit is individual and fulfilling. Our philosophy: giving moments of beauty, shifting down a gear and letting us take care of the rest.
What makes your studio so special?
Maderbök: What’s special is the location, in Hall’s old town, in this beautiful old building that surely has a few stories to tell! We tried to let the old period windows play the lead role and dared to break with the style through modern furnishings, in order to create a special, calm atmosphere.
Which treatments do you recommend now that spring and summer are on the way?
Maderbök: After the winter, the skin needs special attention. I recommend an effective exfoliating treatment such as microdermabrasion to revitalise the skin. This helps to remove dead skin cells and improve the absorption of active ingredients. We also offer moisturising treatments tailored specifically to the needs of our customers’ skin, including hyaluronic treatments and energy masks.

How did you come to choose AROMEA to scent your studios?
Maderbök: I love scents! Every time I’ve thought “Oh, it smells so good here” in a restaurant, a shop or a hotel and then gone looking for the source, I’ve always ended up at AROMEA. So when I was planning our new business premises, I thought I’d get in touch with them. The chemistry with my consultant was right straight away, and the fragrance he brought with him was right straight away too. We started on home turf, with the salon in Wattens. Later we also scented the surroundings at my husband’s business, and now, last but not least, here at the Très Chic salon in Hall. You might say I’ve “AROMEA-tised” everyone.
How is the scent perceived?
Maderbök: Almost all of our customers ask what smells so good here. As soon as the lift door opens, a gentle breath of our scent wafts towards you. Then, once you reach the 2nd floor, our scent really unfolds, but without overdoing it! The same fragrance is of course repeated in our salon in Wattens too.
In what way are scents important for your business?
Maderbök: For me, scents are more than just pleasant aromas - they are memories, and they contribute significantly to wellbeing and a feeling of being cared for. Our customers often ask about the scent that greets them as they come in. It’s something that keeps bringing them back.
Stefanie Maderbök knows how to combine traditional values with modern elements and create a holistic feel-good experience. The Très Chic Studio in Hall is not only a place of beauty but also a place where every customer feels special - accompanied by a scent that stays in the memory.
