Most trends come back eventually. Including the sporty bikini figure. But you’re struggling to get going? Your inner couch potato is bigger than your longing for a beach body? To cut a good figure when you take the plunge into cold water, you should do a little training. At Gollners in Imst, for example! A dynamic team led by founder and owner Bernhard Gollner awaits you in a state-of-the-art new gym. And if that isn’t incentive enough, the team has plenty more tricks up its sleeve. Trust us!
So that your membership doesn’t end up gathering dust in a drawer, Gollners offers you a flexible membership model with plenty of freedom and individual options. And anyone who still isn’t convinced can let the vibes in the gym provide that final push. For this, Gollners Fitness relies on well thought-out scent marketing, which gives its concept of “Simply Better Training” a truly fragrant backing. In conversation with Bernhard Gollner, we found out what makes his strategy unique and why he relies on AROMEA scent marketing.
Your slogan is: “With us, fitness is no plunge into cold water.” How do you motivate the gym-goers in your gym?
Gollner: Our aim is to win our customers over with our high-quality equipment. Add to that highly qualified and always friendly staff, who create a motivating atmosphere in the gym. And one particular “sweetener” is surely the extremely customer-friendly way memberships can be tailored.

What makes a membership at Gollners Fitness so special?
Gollner: We rely on a very flexible concept. Our offer is easy to put together, and every customer can adapt it individually to their own ideas and needs. We go by Pippi Longstocking’s motto: “I make the world the way I like it.” That means every gym-goer can expand their membership with add-on modules just as they please. To help them make the right choice, we let them test a module free for 14 days before deciding. Being able to cancel monthly also gives our customers a high degree of flexibility.
Whether you find the smell of people working out pleasant or not is another matter. Which fragrance gets to spread motivation in your gym?
Gollner: Sadly, I don’t know the individual fragrance names by heart. We decided to pursue targeted scent marketing and use various fragrances for it. In our coffee lounge, it smells of a sweet and tart blend of coffee and chocolate. Unlike most changing rooms, ours smell of freshly washed laundry, and in the cardio area, a fresh breeze of eucalyptus and mint is meant to make it easier to breathe deeply. The blend of jasmine and rose makes for a relaxed finish in the wellness area.
Which AROMEA diffusers are in use in your gym?
Gollner: We use six AROMEA nano diffusers. We’ve placed them in the various areas of our gym or integrated them into the ventilation system.
In your opinion, how do scents have a positive effect on motivation to exercise?
Gollner: We do hope, of course, that targeted scent marketing encourages buying and has a motivating effect. But our first concern is to leave a good impression on our gym-goers. We want to make their time here as pleasant and positive as possible, despite the physical effort.
