Anniversaries, jubilees, birthdays or just a chilled-out party - there are plenty of reasons to celebrate life. The team at BearingPoint thought so too. The international consultancy, which focuses on management and technology consulting, lends other businesses a hand so that together they can achieve even bigger goals.
With 4,600 employees worldwide, BearingPoint has built a global network of experts. In Graz, too, the team gives its all every day to support other companies. So it more than earned its Christmas party at the end of 2022! The venue was Postgarage Graz, hired for the occasion. With dance floors, bars and a chill-out zone, it was the perfect place for an unforgettable end to the year. To make sure the party would linger not only in people’s minds but in their noses too, BearingPoint came up with something special: why not give the party an extra lift with event scenting? Thanks to AROMEA, the event scenting was in the very best of hands. We talked to Sonja Matzer from the HR team about the party.
Before we get to the party, let’s talk briefly about BearingPoint. You support other companies in their development and in growing with new goals - what else does your work involve?
Matzer: BearingPoint is Austria’s largest management and technology consultancy. We develop innovative business models in the areas of management consulting, agile transformation, business services and smart BearingPoint software solutions. In this way, we use new approaches to help our customers achieve better goals.
In which sectors do you support your customers?
Matzer: The sectors in which we support our customers are pretty diverse: Automotive, Banking & Capital, Chemicals, Consumer Goods & Retail, Health & Social Care, Industrial Manufacturing, Insurance, Life Science, Media and Entertainment, Public Sector, Resources, Telecommunications, Transportation & Logistics, Utilities. We try to find precisely targeted solutions for everyone.
Working well with customers also takes a feel-good atmosphere in the team - celebrating together included. Last year, the company Christmas party was held at Postgarage in Graz, and AROMEA was there too with its event scenting. How did you come up with the idea?
Matzer: We wanted to turn a typical “night-time party venue” into a pleasant setting for our Christmas party, and the right scent is part of that. With AROMEA and the PRO TOWER diffusers, it was super easy to give the rooms a Christmassy, relaxed scent.
And how did the scent go down with your colleagues?
Matzer: Pretty well! It really lightened the atmosphere, and quite a few people kept saying: “It doesn’t smell like Postgarage at all.”
To what extent does tailored scenting make a difference at events like this?
Matzer: It was really lovely to be greeted in the entrance area by Christmassy scent notes such as cinnamon and gingerbread. Thanks to “Christmas Delight”, that Christmas feeling lasted all evening too. Inside, we went for a fresh, elegant and light scent. That put everyone in a really good mood.
